Finnish Accountor Group captures a position in the Dutch accountancy market
Utrecht, 17 June 2008 - The Accountor Group has entered into a strategic alliance with the renowned accountancy firm Ten Kate & Huizinga of Enschede. The Finnish-based group is now intensively developing its activities in the Netherlands. The Dutch subsidiary is located in Utrecht and managed by Mick Leonhardt.
With over 60 years’ experience the Accountor Group leads the way in the field of digitalisation and automation of financial management systems. The group has offices in the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine and the Baltic States. As innovation is a real strength of the Accountor Group, new clients benefit from efficiency improvements in their financial management systems already within the first year of service. Strategic alliance
The visionary accountancy firm Ten Kate & Huizinga, (TKH) of Enschede is excellently positioned to realise the objectives of the Accountor Group. Both partners will benefit from the other’s expertise. Ten Kate & Huizinga provides its accountancy services primarily to SMEs. The Accountor Group will use its experience mainly for larger organisations. For the two firms, the alliance represents an expansion of their network and enhancement of their own specialisations.
According to René Scholten, managing director of TKH: “With this alliance a highly professional and specialised financial service provider has arisen in the Netherlands.” TKH has a minority shareholding in the Dutch subsidiary of the Accountor Group.
Dutch subsidiary
The Accountor Group provides financial management, digital invoicing, accounting and payroll administration both as a complete package of services and as separate modules. Mick Leonhardt (49) who runs the Dutch subsidiary has over 23 years’ (sales) management experience in both new and established software and IT businesses. He comes from Logica, where he was Business Development Manager Outsourcing. Before that he was in charge of the IT Governance Service division of Econocom Nederland. His successes include overseeing the start-up and growth of Peregrine Systems in the Benelux. According to Mick Leonhardt: “Developing Accountor Group into an established name in the Dutch financial world is an exciting challenge for me.”
