Leading Nordic financial and payroll administration service provider Pretax and accounting firm Savilahden Kirjanpitopalvelu Oy have signed an agreement on the merging of Savilahden Kirjanpitopalvelu operations to Pretax Mikkeli effective 1 January 2010. Savilahden Kirjanpitopalvelu owners Esa and Pirjo Villanen and other personnel will join Pretax Mikkeli.
Savilahden Kirjanpitopalvelu serves businesses and organisations in Mikkeli from its Nuijamiestenkatu location. The Pretax Mikkeli office is located on Porrassalmenkatu. Savilahden Kirjanpitopalvelu will move to shared facilities at Porrassalmenkatu during the spring.
After the merger, Pretax Mikkeli will serve 300 client businesses with a staff of 13.
CPA Esa Villanen was appointed Managing Director of Pretax Mikkeli effective 1 January 2010. KLT Accountant Taina Arola-Parkkinen will continue her duties as Service Manager.
The operating environment for accounting firms is changing: official services—tax, insurance and banking—require an electronic operating environment. 2010 in particular will see major changes, such as the Tax Account service and Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).
These changes require investments in IT and a major amount of work in restructuring systems. As a result, we were forced to consider whether we should come up with our own solutions and acquire new programs. ”By joining Pretax Mikkeli, we can now offer our clients a more comprehensive service entity and, if necessary, take advantage of Pretax’s 1,400 financial experts. Particularly where electronic financial administration services are concerned, our service offering has expanded, thus allowing us to serve our clients even more effectively,”explains Villanen, citing the reasons for joining Pretax.
